I'm going to Twitter on you....

This story in the Christian Science Monitor relates that Twitter and Short Messaging Service were used as formal monitoring tools in Kenya's national elections earlier today.  Democracy advocates set up a program called Uchaguzi to allow citizens to report on conditions, good or bad, at polling stations across the country.

The CSM reports that the election went well, due in part to the fact that anyone with a mobile phone was able to serve as a poll monitor.
